Raccoon Tour

Raccoon Tour is a power pop punk alternative band from Boise, Idaho, now based in Newark, New Jersey.

Combining elements of folk, indie, rock, skramz, and electronica, Raccoon Tour douses their sound with unpretentious Halloween inspired nostalgia and coming of age shenanigans.

Many of their influences include Modest Mouse, My Chemical Romance, The Front Bottoms, Heccra, Twenty One Pilots, and St. Terrible just to name a few.

The project started as a school assignment for singer/songwriter Nate Burr’s senior project. He recorded a song called Sofarinrunning which experienced surprise explosive growth on SoundCloud and Spotify. Raccoon Tour recorded and released Sofarinrunning and Sorry Sarah in 2018 as high school projects.

The project signed to I Surrender Records (Four Year Strong, Midtown, Pollyanna, Mattstagraham) and released their first full length album called The Dentonweaver in December 2021 after a long and hotly anticipated wait. The album saw warm and heartfelt reception from listeners, which led the band on a handful of DIY tours across the country.

They were lucky enough to play the mainstage at Treefort Music Festival in spring 2023 (The group chat was going crazy at the announcement) and threw a large celebration of their hometown at the Treefort Music Hall that summer.

Indebted to Boise, Raccoon Tour moved operation to Newark, New Jersey in summer 2023 to pursue a new chapter in their adventure.

Raccoon Tour hit the road during the summer of 2024 for an ambitious and frankly terrifying tour to hang out with friends and sell t-shirts. They unfortunately survived.

The band now hibernates in the great American North East putting the finishing touches on their second album “Camp Cosmic.”
